Using Vimeo
This program is pretty video heavy. You are going to need to use an app on either your mobile device of choice or your desktop. The app we use is Vimeo. Vimeo allows us to maintain both privacy and have lots of flexibility.
We have set you all up with Vimeo accounts. Your usernames and passwords were sent to you in an email. If you don't have them, let Matt know at MATTHEW@THIAGI.COM.
Whatever you do, don't change the settings, the username, or the password to this Vimeo account. Matt will use your account to post your feedback videos. Your accounts contain no personal information other than your first name. They don't have your last name, your email, or any information that identifies you in any way.
We have purchased a one month Vimeo Plus account for you to use. This will ensure you have both the space and bandwidth necessary for the program. If you use this account for any purposes other than the course, please remember that Matt and the rest of The Thiagi Group have access and can see your postings.
By default, we have set your personal page to be visible only to you and Matt. Please give us permission to let the other participants view your videos and see your feedback. It is one of the best ways we can all learn from each other.
There are many options for devices you can use to take your selfie videos. You can use your phone, a tablet, your laptop, or your desktop. You could also use a regular old-fashioned video camera and transfer it to a computer—though that seems like a lot of work. Vimeo is available through any web browser on your laptop/desktop. Vimeo is also available as an app for download on Android, iOS, and Microsoft devices.
Below are two brief videos. The first shows how to link to Vimeo using an iPhone. The steps in this video are the same for an iPad or a iPod Touch. The second shows you how to load up a video from your desktop/laptop. For Android and Microsoft devices, the processes are similar. Do a Google search if you cannot figure it out. Or give us a call.
