We support serial interviewing, where a series of different interviewers take individual turns meeting with the candidate. It gives the interviewers each their own time and opportunity to develop opinions and fully flesh out their own perspectives about the candidate’s worth. Conversely, group interviewing is highly problematic. Not only is it intimidating, but highly ineffective. Question paths are never completely followed through on and the candidate has barely a chance to build any rapport with anyone. This format is more like the Spanish Inquisition.
