Overview
Bob is using improper code-naming conventions and Petra and Paul have to spend hours doing re-work. You obviously need to have a conversation with him. But wait! There's more... Bob keeps switching tasks. He has an incorrect understanding of his priorities – at least we are going to assume he does (otherwise, he is doing it intentionally). He is leaving high priority tasks incomplete. Check out Bob's profile video if you have not done so already. You may also want to review Petra, Paul, and Mary's profile videos, as well.
Task One
Upload a video response walking us through your preparation for the conversation.
Task Two
Pretend Bob is right in front of you. Upload the Intro to the conversation you plan to have with him. Pause, and in the same video ask the primary question you would ask. We will assume this is one of several questions, but for this task, ask the primary one.
Task Three
Watch Bob's response. Make sure you complete Task Two before watching this. Upload your response to him and provide him some feedback using the Feedback Process.
Task Four
Given Bob's responses and his overall disposition, upload an assessment of Bob. What do you think of him? How do you want to approach him strategically as a member of your team? No need to be politically correct. HR and Bob will never hear your thoughts.
