Module 8: Time for Real Cases

In this module you will analyze a number cases. Thinking in after tax dollars and the use of Net Present Value (i.e. NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (i.e. IRR) will lead to astute business case decisions. If you would like a refresher on NPV,  IRR, and WACC, we have a number of short optional screen flows, as well.

You will analyze a hypothetical Warehouse Consolidation Case and finally review a video where Mike Miller, RF Harris controller, discusses a major Harris IT acquisition. Mike's video is password protected, so be sure to check your email for it. In this module, you will:

• Apply the different “costs” to a number of cases
• Understand the difference in treatment between capital, cost, and expense items
• Focus on after tax analysis
• Understand why depreciation is a non-cash expense
• Develop a working knowledge of NPV and IRR
• Submit your Period 6 decisions
